Not only did he guide the company to new levels of growth over the past several years, he also set direction in terms of vision and strategy for ActionCOACH worldwide. He is also responsible for the company’s culture – enrolling and inspiring the entire ActionCOACH team to live and abide by our 14 Points of Culture, guidelines that help set ActionCOACH apart as a company and that truly make it the world’s leading business coaching firm.

Why do you love working for ActionCOACH?

The biggest Business Coaching team in the world, helping Business Owners to actually realise their dreams – why would I want to work elsewhere? I’m helping dreams come true.

What are your favourite past-times?

Listening to Irish music – singing and dancing to this too! Oh, and maybe partaking in a drop of something along the way. Sharing these times with my beautiful wife, Catherine, and the four children.
Sports wise – golf, cricket and anything Arsenal !

Why do you love working for ActionCOACH?

I grew up with 10 grandmas (in the early days of the family Care Home Business) and learnt the importance of supporting, nurturing and looking after people for a better quality of life. Everything I have done in life since has been based around these strong principles and working in ActionCOACH is no different.  I love that we work with business owners to realise their potential and it is incredibly rewarding to see the impact it has, not only on their business but on their lives and the lives of their family and team members.

Tell us something about yourself…

I married my childhood sweetheart and best friend since the age of 5.  I am super proud of my three sons and daughter and love nothing better than spending time chilling, laughing, partying and competing with them.  I’m also proud of my Irish heritage; I love anything to do with Irish music, song and dance and once ranked 10^th in the world at Irish dancing in my youth.

Why do I love working for ActionCOACH?

ActionCOACH has enabled me to have a fabulous work / life balance. I spent 7 years as a stay at home mum after running my own successful, award winning business. When both children were in full time education I needed a challenge. ActionCOACH has enabled me to do this but also see how it can provide businesses from all sectors with the knowledge and motivation to create a commercial, profitable enterprise that can work without you.

Favourite pass times…

As a mum of two young children, I love to spend as much time laughing and playing with them before I am no longer ‘cool’ enough! I also enjoy weekends away in our beautiful country and dining out. Some may say that one of my pass times is shopping for handbags!

My title is ‘Lady,’ that’s right…I am Lady Laura Thorburn!

Favourite holiday destination…
I love to travel down to Cornwall with my family; this also means that I can take my dog Archie. But my favourite holiday was spending a month in Indonesia!

What are your favourite pastimes?
Playing games and having fun with my children. Nothing better than a summer day in the back garden playing all day long. BBQ, fun, smiles, laughter and many games!
Plus…fine single malt, taking my beautiful wife out for nice meals, family holidays and watching action movies!
